Urban deliveries

Areas of Expertise (1)

The last few kilometres in town the most expensive (they may represent up to 30 % of the total cost of transport) and difficult (uncertainty, stress for drivers, etc.) to transport enterprises. Moreover, the sustainable development of town centres is connected with the problems raised by deliveries (environmental impact, economic development, and working conditions).

In an urban environment, where space is scarce and must be shared more than elsewhere by various users, deliveries call for integrated solutions in terms of traffic management (time slots for deliveries, control of heavy goods vehicle flows, etc.), infrastructure planning (design of engineering structures, delivery areas, urban distribution centres, etc.), routing and signing, etc. BRRC is active in all these areas.
